Berny is a PRC-registered psychologist and one of the founding partners of PsychConsult Inc. Her current clinical practice involves consultations and psychotherapy for adults, teens and children. As a clinician, she believes that everyone has the innate capacity for change and that her role is to be an instrumental witness to their journey towards healing and transformation, using various modalities at her disposal. Part of her advocacy for mental health involves facilitating trainings and workshops related to the practice of psychology. She is also a part-time faculty with the Psychology department at De La Salle University-Manila. She completed her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology at Santa Clara University in California, USA. Before joining PsychConsult, she did supervised trainings in both school and hospital settings. She has attended certification trainings in MBTI® assessment, as well as various therapy approaches, such as Theraplay®, Sandtray training, Expressive Therapies, and Play Therapy.
